Mankind has been striving to bring lasting peace to the world since modern times began. Nations, religions, worldwide organisations – all have failed to find the right formula. Our next guest claims that he has the answer to this dilemma. Tell us how you propose to create the environment which would foster world peace and everlasting brotherhood.
a) The people of the world need a common enemy to unite them all and focus their natural aggressive tendencies on one goal.
q) Sounds Right. And what specific enemy do you have in mind.
a) The Dandelion. This is the scourge of every lawn in the world, public or private. Billions of dollars have been expended on labour and chemicals with extremely poor return. All people, regardless of their other beliefs, are fighting it in a losing battle daily, yet there is no united effort to defeat this garden terror.
q) Your really certain that the world needs to eradicate the dandelion? Surely there are more compelling needs. What about hunger and sanitation?
a) There are certainly more important things, but ONLY the dandelion has universal appeal. The rich don’t worry about hunger and hungry couldn’t care less about sanitation. But they are both acutely aware that the dandelion occurs everywhere they look.
q) If this is the case, why do you suppose there hasn’t been some such movement in the past.
a) Because people are naturally preoccupied about all the wars and terror and gangs. They just haven’t been focused. We need a high level of publicity, and a champion to lead the world in this quest.
q) Alright, if we accept that premise (and I’m not) how would you proceed to eradicate the dandelion population.
a) We need a starting point. My proposal is that a select group of experts in the field concentrate all their efforts in ONE place to begin with. Give people the confidence that it CAN BE DONE! Get Runs on board.
q) And do you have any particular place in mind? a) My backyard lawn. When that has been successfully cleared of the scourge, we can tackle the front, sides and then the neighbours. You see if everyone were truly focused on this they would be united and there would no time for wars.
